1. When you can only recall part of a sentence or phrase.
As far as Google hacks go, this one is gold! After typing in the first word (that you remember of course), enter “AROUND (# of missing words) followed by the last term in the supposed sentence. If you were trying to find the poem ‘I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud’ by Wordsworth, you’d type the first word or words: ‘I wandered’ followed by AROUND (4) and finish with ‘cloud.’

2. When you don’t necessarily want Google paying attention to certain words.
For those times you’re searching for information focused on a few keywords, there’s a simple way to do so. Add a minus sign in front of the term you want to negate. It’s really that easy.

3. When you need to search a specific topic within a website.
Sometimes we forget to bookmark or save that one fascinating article on our favorite website. Luckily, Google has a ‘backtracking’ method that can help. In the search bar, type the name of said site. Then, enter a keyword or memorable phrase from the post. It should all come rushing back.
